Clinical Expertise

Every concern has a name.
Every patient has a story.

Below are four of the conditions we treat most often — written in the clinician's own voice, because we think you deserve to know exactly how we work before we knock on your door.

High Risk Care

Diabetic Neuropathy

Elderly woman receiving foot care at home from a healthcare professional

"Margaret, 74, had stopped checking her own feet after her cataract surgery left her unable to bend safely. Her daughter called on a Tuesday. By Thursday I was sitting beside her armchair with my kit, carrying out a full vascular and neurological assessment. We found early-stage callus over her second metatarsal head — caught before it broke down. Margaret now has a monthly standing appointment. Her GP wrote to thank us."

Pressure ulcer prevented. GP referral pathway activated.

Nail Pathology

Fungal Nail Infection

Close-up of professional foot examination and nail assessment

"Robert, 68, had spent three years embarrassed by thickened, discoloured nails before his son found us online. He assumed nothing could be done. At the first visit I took a nail sample for mycology, reduced the nail bulk with specialist equipment, and applied topical antifungal. Six months later, two nails had fully cleared. He told me he'd worn sandals for the first time in a decade."

Mycology confirmed. Treatment plan completed in 6 months.

Biomechanics

Plantar Fasciitis & Heel Pain

Healthcare professional conducting foot biomechanics assessment

"David, 52, was six weeks post-knee surgery and completely housebound when the heel pain started. Unable to attend clinic, he was managing on paracetamol. I assessed him at home, identified classic plantar fasciitis aggravated by the altered gait pattern, issued temporary orthotic insoles from my kit, and taught him three targeted stretches. He was weight-bearing comfortably within ten days."

Pain resolved without GP escalation. Back to walking in 10 days.

Routine Elderly Foot Care

Elderly patient receiving attentive foot care from a visiting podiatrist

"Phyllis is 89 and lives alone. Her daughter books her appointment every eight weeks without fail. I trim her nails, treat the dry skin on her heels, and check for any changes in circulation. It takes forty minutes. What it gives her — someone sitting with her, paying careful attention to a part of her body she can no longer see — is harder to measure but just as real."

No hospital admissions related to foot complications in 3 years.

Patient Voices

What patients say
in their own words.

We don't ask for five-star reviews. We ask patients how they felt — and then we share what they actually said.

"I hadn't been able to reach my own feet for two years. The first time the clinician came, I cried — not from pain, from relief. Someone was finally looking after that part of me."

Common questions

01What does a home visit cost?
We don't publish a fixed price list because visits vary by treatment complexity and location. We promise a clear quote during your callback — before you commit to anything. Most routine visits are competitively priced with high-street clinics, without the journey.
02How long does a visit take?
A routine nail and skin care appointment takes 40–50 minutes. A diabetic foot assessment typically runs 60 minutes. We never rush. If we need longer, we take longer.
03Are your clinicians registered?
All Stride podiatrists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) — the UK's statutory regulator for podiatrists. You can verify any clinician's registration on the HCPC website.
04Can you treat patients with dementia?
Yes. We are experienced working with patients who have cognitive conditions. We always introduce ourselves clearly, work at a pace the patient is comfortable with, and communicate with carers or family members throughout.
05What areas do you cover?
Currently London (all zones) and the Home Counties — Surrey, Kent, Hertfordshire, Essex, Berkshire. Enter your postcode in the sidebar to check instantly. We're expanding to additional areas in 2026.
